Salon de la Guerre is the musical project of writer and filmmaker Eric Randolph Rasmussen. The music is a mix of lo-fi rock, no-wave punk rock, American primitive guitar, classical music, country and pop, inspired by such groups as the Velvet Underground, Sonic Youth, Patti Smith, Sleater-Kinney, Frank Zappa, John Fahey and the Rolling Stones.

Eric lives in New York with his wife and son and blogs at Beauty Is Imperfection. He is also the writer and director of the online comedy series "The Retributioners."
